Eating Laps

Ghiradelli Factory!

In short, I am a food lover!  I am somewhat picky, but I do enjoy what I eat.  I could live solely on three things (well, maybe four if you count the wine!): chocolate, peanut butter and oatmeal  But, since my healthy lifestyle transformation, I try to always eat well-balanced meals, with an occasional chocolate treat.  Hey, you only live once!  Life is too short to constantly be worrying about a diet.  I am a firm believer of everything in moderation.

I pride myself on being able to eat mainly healthy, all natural foods no matter what environment I find myself in.  I try to eat at home during the week (check out my recipes below!) and I brown bag my lunch everyday, so that I know I am getting all of the whole foods that my body wants and needs!  The weekends (and vacations) are a little bit harder with eating out and visiting with friends.  There is constant temptation!  But, I have found that you can find something healthy anywhere you go.  Plus, enjoying a splurge now and then (or everyday!) isn’t a bad thing, as long as you balance everything out.  If I eat badly for a day or weekend, I simply try to eat more fruits, vegetables and whole grains for the rest of the week.  And, I always carry some type of snack with me, just in case!

Each week I will provide you with some Healthy Eating Tips that I hope you will find helpful!
