allandale farm csa, week 9

We got quite the variety this week.  Many things we have received in the past, but some new as well.

I seem to have a vegetable overload in my house right now, so my plan is to make a delicious vegetable stock and some pickles very soon!  We also have a surplus of beets!  I’m thinking of cooking and then freezing them to use in juice later on.

Watercress

Arugula

Cherry Tomatoes

Hybrid Tomatoes

Eggplant

Peppers

Carrots

Beets

Corn

Garlic

Celery

Zucchini

Cucumber

Pickling Cucumbers

Another great week.  I’m going to be sad in October when this CSA ends!

  1. Refrigerator pickles are a snap to make! I used my bounty of CSA cukes in mine- they’re so cute 🙂 http://greekfeaster.blogspot.com/2010/07/pied-piper.html (links to 2 easy recipes)

  2. Love Summer produce!
