This weather is really making me want to go for a long run outside! I am feeling much much better after my incident on Sunday. My shoulder and hip are still really tender and sore, but it gets better everyday. Tomorrow might be the day to try out some running, or at least walking after my week long hiatus! I’m ready to really get back in the swing of things next week…it has been a long few weeks of not much physical activity for various reasons. Time’s like this are great though, because they make me realize how much I do enjoy the sweat!!
I really enjoyed the sprouted burger bun that I had last night for dinner, so I made it a part of today’s lunch. I didn’t want the bun to get soggy, so I packed up my ingredients and assembled the sandwich at work.
Roasted red peppers, 1/2 avocado, lettuce, stone ground mustard and a little leftover goat cheese on a sprouted burger bun.
With raw Rosemary Quackers.
Later on, I snacked on a pomegranate Chobani and a grapefruit!
After work, Brant and I headed over to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum for their After Hours event! The Third Thursday of each month, all year long, the Gardner Museum hosts an After Hours event. They re-open the museum from 5:30-9:30pm for a big cocktail party! You can just hang out and enjoy the music, check out the galleries or eat at the cafe. It is a really fun way to spend a night out. How often to you get to drink a cocktail in the courtyard of a famous museum?! It was a blast.

We sipped on a cocktail in the courtyard as we walked around. Then, we headed into the Cafe for some dinner. We sat in the gardens, which was perfect for this warm evening.
I started with a cocktail of Sparkling Wine and Elderflower Liquor – yum!
Then, had the Spring Greens with Cheese for my meal. Served with sourdough bread.
It was good! Blue Cheese. Cheddar Cheese. Brie.
Brant decided on the Pasta with Clams. He was excited. 🙂
Then, we shared the Apple Crisp with burnt sugar ice cream and oatmeal topping. The burnt sugar ice cream was just awesome.
After dinner, we walked around the galleries and enjoyed each others company. It was such a fun night. I will be back for the June event, for sure!
