lots of salad

Apparently, I’ve been in the mood for salad.

Dinner last night was a great salad!

Green leaf lettuce with radishes, carrots, edamame and goat cheese with olive oil, salt and pepper.

Grilled peppers and a Lentil burger!

We are dog sitting while my family is away, so we have Benny with us for 2 weeks!

He’s a great pug!

I woke up this morning and did a quick weight session before taking Benny for a walk.

Weight Session

  • Squats (3 sets of 12)
  • Pushups (3 sets of 12)
  • Bicep curls on 1 leg (2 sets ea leg of 12)
  • Lunge and lift alternating legs (2 sets ea of 12)
  • Triceps kickback in static squat ( 3 sets of 12)
  • Overhead press on 1 leg (2 sets ea leg of 12)
  • Static squat with YTL’s (2 sets of 12)

Then, headed out for a 45 minute walk.

Benny was exhausted when we got home.

While he relaxed, I made myself a refreshing smoothie for breakfast.  This is all I have felt like lately!  Maybe it’s the heat, or my lack of vigorous exercise this week…

Stawberry Banana Peach Smoothie

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 3/4 cup frozen strawberries
  • 3/4 cup frozen peaches
  • 2 tbsp hemp protein powder, vanilla spice
  • 1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese

A while back, Daisy sent me some cottage cheese samples.  Well, I had a container in the back of my fridge and realized that it is going to expire soon, which is why you have seen so much cottage cheese from me lately. 🙂

It is a delicious addition to my smoothies, and has proven to be much more filling than adding yogurt.

This smoothie was perfect.

It filled me up until lunch, which was another salad!

This one was great and filling.

Green leaf lettuce, radishes, shaved carrots, leftover cooked lentils, kaia curry sprouted sunflower seeds, dried cherries and goat cheese with fig infused vinegar.

Plus, an apple with a little peanut butter.

Almost Friday!!
