I started my day out yesterday with a smoothie. The hot weather really decreases my appetite, so a smoothie is a perfect way to get in the calories, protein and fats.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese
- 1 cup almond milk, unsweetened
- 2 tbsp ground flaxmeal
- 1 tsp maca
- 2 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 scoop chocolate Amazing Grass
- 2 tbsp chunky peanut butter
This is by far my favorite smoothie combination, but I always go a little heavy on the peanut butter!
Lunch was a treat!
I met up with my mom at the new Nordstroms Cafe in Braintree.
You order lunch at the counter, but then sit down and have table service. The menu looked great, and it was not super crowded on a Monday at lunchtime.
I started with a cup of the Soup of the Day – Tomato Basil.
It was great. I loved the big crouton on top. 🙂
I also had the Roasted Beet Salad with candied pecans and goat cheese.
This was awesome. The beets were perfect. Yum!
What a nice treat for lunch!
Dinner was very low-key. After cleaning our condo top to bottom, I was finally hungry for dinner.
We had tons of leftovers from our Sunday BBQ, so I made up a big sandwich: 2 Veggie Lentil Burgers with 1/2 grilled pepper, grilled eggplant and ketchup on a seeded roll.
This was just what I wanted.
The water ban was lifted this morning!
