double-date night!

I started my day with some juice!

Carrot Apple Celery – this has to be my favorite blend so far, because it’s all i’ve tried!  Maybe i’ll branch out next week. 🙂

And, then more oatbran this morning!!  I’m really loving it, but sadly, I had the last of my bag today.

I bought this new local granola at Whole Foods yesterday, so I tried a little out on top of my oatbran with almond butter.

This granola is completely natural, 100% organic and I love it!  We all love granola, but some of it just isn’t that great for you.  They add oils and preservatives and the list goes on and on.  I picked up the Maple Flavor (I love maple!!) and it is delicious!  Especially on top of my oatbran with maple almond butter! 🙂

This granola only has the following list of ingredients:

  • Oats
  • Maple Syrup
  • Hazelnuts
  • Sunflower Seeds
  • Walnuts
  • Vanilla
  • Sea Salt

Besides when I make my own granola, which I definitely prefer, I think this might be the next best thing!

Before my oats this morning, I hit up the gym for a 6 mile tempo run and some weights.

Tempo Run

  • Mile 1 @ 9:30 pace
  • Mile 2 @ 9:00 pace
  • Mile 3 @ 8:30 pace
  • Mile 4 @ 8:00 pace
  • Mile 5 @ 7:40 pace
  • Mile 6 @ 9:30 pace

Shoulders, Chest & Triceps (and some core)

  • Overhead press (3 sets of 12, 10 lb weights)
  • Triceps press (3 sets of 12, 10 lb weight)
  • Tricep Dips (3 sets of 12)
  • Crunches (3 sets of 15)
  • Front & Side Raises (3 sets of 10, 7.5 lb weights)
  • Tricep Kickbacks (3 sets of 12, 12.5 lb weights)
  • Reverse Crunches (3 sets of 15)
  • Chest Press (3 sets of 12, 12.5 lb weights)
  • Upright Row with dumbbells (3 sets of 12, 12.5lb weights)
  • Bent over Fly’s (3 sets of 12, 7.5 lb weights)
  • Bicycle Crunches (3 sets of 20)

I felt kind of weak today!  I think this first week of real weights is definitely helping me, but also making me more tired!  I just need to get in to a routine!

When I got home this afternoon, I had some yummy stuff on my doorstep to welcome me home!

Amy’s Soups – can’t wait to try the new Spanish Rice & Red Bean!  Normally, I don’t love soup in a can because of the high sodium, etc.  But, I do love Amy’s soups when I’m short on time.

POM Wonderful Juice!  Yum yum yum!!

Crofter’s Superfruit Jam!

I am psyched to try these products and report back to you guys!  Thanks so much Amy’s, POM and Crofter’s for letting me try your products!

Dinner tonight was out with some friends for a double-date!  We hit up Amhreins in Southie.  I forgot to snap photos (what can I say, I’m new at this blogging thing :)), but what I had was delicious!  A baby greens salad with tomatoes and a small plate of vegetable risotto!

Off to bed, we have a big weekend of skiing!

  1. You have some great things to try there! Amy’s Tomato soup is my fav, and the Pom juice is great too! I love to put it in smoothies because I little goes a long way.
